Ken has over twenty years of diversified accounting experience working with privately owned business and individuals. He has worked in both public accounting and private industry. Ken has been a general business partner in the largest local C.P.A. firm in Portland, audit partner in the Portland office of the third largest national accounting firm and financial vice president for a major privately owned sporting goods manufacturer. Now, with Ivey Jacobson & Company he works closely with business owners and individuals to provide tax and business advice.
Ken holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University.
The major areas of Ken’s professional experience include: financial accounting, tax planning, manufacturing cost accounting, accounting system design and implementation, financing and financial projections and the purchase and sale of businesses.

Present professional and civic activities include the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Ken is a past president of Lake Oswego Rotary. Ken is active in several vintage
automobile clubs, including: Club Lotus Northwest, Shelby American Auto Club,
The Alfa Romeo Owners Club and The Touring Club of Oregon.
Karen Jacobson has over twenty years of diversified experience in both public accounting and private industry. Before becoming a partner in Ivey Jacobson & Company, she was a partner in Ivey, Jacobson & Stone, a principal in the largest local C.P.A. firm in Portland, senior manager in the Portland office of a national accounting firm, and chief accountant for a computer peripheral manufacturer.
The focus of her professional activity is in the areas of financial planning, divorce planning, business planning, accounting system design and implementation, tax planning and compliance, and business startup.
A partial list of client types served by Karen includes software developers, attorneys, consultants, manufacturers, retailers, publishers, sign companies, tree nurseries, lumber brokers, high-tech executives, investors and physicians.
Karen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Planning Association. She is past chair of the Financial Planning Association of Oregon and Southwest Washington, past president and current treasurer of the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce, past commodore of Rose City Yacht Club, past treasurer of Tualatin Valley Television and board member of Oregon Center for Public Policy.
